The Men Who Stare at Goats was hysterically funny. If you are a Star Wars fan, especially of Ewan McGregor, you MUST go see it! :D
Writing not going so well. :P Just can't get in the groove.
I broke my pressure washer today. Granted it was like 15 years old and we bought it on a yard sale for 5 dollars like 10 years ago, but still... Now I have to get a new one to finish washing my siding and trim so that I can paint before winter.

If you're a Mac user like me, and have had trouble connecting to Y!M with Adium, here is the fix:
To solve this problem:
Open Preferences, Accounts.
Select your Yahoo account and click the "Edit" button in the lower right corner.
Open the "Options" tab.
Change the login server to 66.163.181.189.
Click "OK".

I don't know when or how I pissed off the water spirits, but I came home from work to water in the basement. :( It's just SO typical that when we finally get a rain to put a dent in the deficit we've had, it decides to go to the most annoying place. :P

I've been knitting a lot lately, and my latest project is a foray into entrelac, which I think is a very cool look. I made a felted bag out of Patons SWS yarn in the color Natural Geranium. Below the cut are a couple of pictures - the bag before felting, then after. :D

I'd love to know just when and how I offended Somnia, Goddess of Sleep, or Alpo, God of Dogs, because one or the other of them is determined to prevent me from ever getting a nap in the afternoons by keeping my blasted dogs barking CONSTANTLY. For the last week it seems like every afternoon when I lie down someone or something tells the dogs that it's time to raise an unholy racket. I only sleep for about five to six hours at night, I desperately need about an hour in the afternoons after work to recharge my sadly drained internal batteries, and as much as I love my dogs I'm ready to throttle them.

| Back from the Great White North |

Just got back from five days in the beautiful environs of Ottawa, Ontario and Gatineau, Quebec. My last foray into Canada was several years back and considerably further north and west, when we went to Edmonton and then drove the length of the Canadian Rockies down to Calgary, which was one of the most incredibly beautiful drives in the world. Ottawa and Gatineau are lovely, too, especially at this time of year when the leaves were changing.
