So, I'm horrible. I owe so many replies and I've not gotten to read ANY fics (*eyes [info]snapelike's fic hungrily*). The good news is that [info]scribbulus_ink and I finished a holiday collaboration which will go up in a few days. I'm rather squeeful about this one, I particularly like how it turned out. Can't say much about my Snusa because... well, it's Snusa, and secret, but I did get it done and I'm fairly happy with the result, even if a few parts of it had me ripping my hair out and crying on McKay's shoulder.

Work continues to be just absolutely insane. It gets better, and then when I take a deep breath it gets crazy again. Par for the course, I suppose. The good thing is that I'm taking almost two weeks off at the end of the year; the bad news is that I have a HUGE pile of work to finish before I can take off. My Christmas tree isn't up yet because I got horribly sick last week on the night we'd planned to set it up. Hopefully we'll get to it tomorrow afternoon, though, since this weekend has been busy.

Most of my Christmas shopping is done, thank goodness. I'm an unnatural female, I suppose, because I hate to shop. I love giving people presents, but I am definitely an online gifter - the mall makes me want to cry because of the noise and crowds. I had a Pampered Chef party with some friends and got all new pots and pans for my holiday cooking. Woo! For those who don't know, I cook a LOT, and I bake a lot, too. So new cookware is happy. :D

Best news of all: I've lost 20 lbs. My blood pressure was diagnosed as borderline about 3 months ago, and my doctor wanted to try treating with weight loss and exercise before putting me on meds, and I think I've done pretty well. I am a stress eater, and since work has been hell my weight has gone through the roof. I'd love to take off another 30, but I'll settle for 10 to 12 more, which will put me back in all my best clothes. I just hope that it takes the blood pressure down, too - strokes are THE killer of women in my family, and I'd rather stick around for a bit, to hassle McKay and Lore and Ellid and Karasu. ;) And the rest of you, too!

I hope everyone is doing well. My reading of LJ or IJ or anything else has been sporadic because most of my time has been used for writing, but I'll try to catch up. :D #HUGS# to all!

I need to be around more, but yeah, work is determined to kill me before they let me go, I think. GAH. I am so woefully behind. :( Thanks - I hope things are going well for you, too! How is your December shaping up?

Things are much better now. I'm half way through my certification to become a high school/junior high school English teacher and I'm doing fairly well at it so far. Thanks.

#HUGS# Thanks! The weight loss means a lot, and it's SO HARD at this time of year. It's slowed down a bit, but I'm going to keep working at it. :D I want to be around, too! :D

Long time, no see. Congrats with the weight loss, although the reason for it is somewhat grim. Well done!

Thanks!!! Yeah, a bit grim, but most people have a genetic bugaboo or two, I'm actually rather lucky mine is relatively easy to recognize and control.

I STILL have to get to your story. I think I'll save up and read it once my vacation time starts - curl up with a nice cup of sugar-free hot chocolate and my fuzzy robe and give myself time to savor it. I have SO many interruptions during my online time it can get really frustrating.

#HUGS# :D
